The very first production model of Ducati Motor's much- awaited Hypermotard 1100 will be revealed at the Legend of the Motorcycle Concours d'Elegance. The Hypermotard was introduced as a concept bike at the Milan Motor Show in November 2005. The response was so overwhelming from the press and public alike that the bike was voted "Motorcycle Design of the Year" by the Motorcycle Design Association. Since its conceptual debut, the Hypermotard has been the subject of countless media articles and blogs and is one of the most highly anticipated motorcycles to be scheduled for production in recent history. The 2007 Legend of the Motorcycle will be the first place the public will be able to see this machine incarnate. What makes the Hypermotard so unique is its motard styling (a motocross bike with street wheels, tires and brakes) combined with a sportsbike engine, delivering an unprecedented "best of both worlds" machine.
